BYO Spirits to a DIY Ramblin’ Revival orchestrated by Maria Molteni for the August incarnation of White Walls Boston. We hope to run on time the whole day & invite you to follow! Just look for the U SAVE truck*. Performers should be nearby if not inside. Phrases below link to the map which plots our route in great detail. Each change in location is underlined in BOLD an includes time segment. Several performances may happen in one location and if there is no time listed next to the description, it is durational during its allotted segment. *exception being LA Publick Theatre/Christian Herter Park where there is no legal parking.

Keep up-to-date throught the day via:  @POLICELESSNESS // FACEBOOK // www.WHITEWALLSBOSTON.com

12 - 2pm // TD Garden // Causeway St, Downtown // T accessible

Save-It Forwards // Tara Kirmse: An enlightening hour of viral prophesy and salvation. Illuminating the messages of e-chain-mail via word-of-mouth sharing, and respective pamphlet give away that will inspire you to pass-on this valuable information outside the confines of cyber-share.  Let us not relegate these memes to our spam-bins.  Save-It Forwards!

Cheerleadership // Maria Molteni : Intrigued by the tornado of directionless bi-partisan arguments found in current news, e-mail blasts, and protests, Maria will deliver an enthusiastic mashup of political catch-phrases and predictable platforms, posing as a cheerleader rooting for the defeat of the “other team” with little room for contemplation or reflection. She will be happy to take submissions and requests.

Threat Level Sext / Need To Know Basis // That Somebody: Fear is in the air. Drones are in the sky. Government creeps are reading your sexts. Boots are on the ground in Africa. Let me blow your mind by pulling back the curtain and connecting the dots. Nothing is sacred. What is intelligence? What is terrorism? A treatise on 21st century control.

3 - 5:30 pm // Baptist Hospital // Parker Hill Ave, Mission Hill // T accessible

Trading Personal for Public // Alice Vogler // 3pm: We each have our own relationship with the health of our body and mind. It is often times not shared or discussed. And yet we are constantly being inundated with what could be wrong, what we need to take, what is “normal”. This piece addresses all of these issues. Please come and join me to share and learn.

Truck Top Meditation & Prayer // Helen Miller // 4:40pm: After a silent counting meditation, we will follow a sequence of motions commonly used in prayer. We will begin simply, by bringing our palms together, and move in several directions from there. The unfolding rhythm of the lesson will be gentle and absorbing, cultivating humility and receptivity, and preparing us for an evening of ceremony and dance.

6:30 - 9pm // Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston and Vicinity // T accessible

Rosaries for Our Lady of Good Voyage // Maria Molteni & Ashley Capachione // 6:30pm: We invite participants to gather at the Chapel of Our Lady of Good Voyage to pray the Rosary together. We will teach the prayers from this Catholic tradition in support of the Chapel’s well being and to protest of the parking lots and developments encroaching upon its generous history and property.

Scenic Overlook, WWJ(immy buffet)D? // Jordan Tynes & Taylor McVay // 7:30pm:

Please join us at our romantic vista for a moment of respite from the day’s distractions. Reflect upon the landscape whilst being served a libation, washed down by tropical tunes. No day of intervention should be without reassuring hiatuses or moments of introspection.

Let us know if you need anything else!

Aurelian Baptism // Maria Molteni // Begins During Sunset (before 8:30pm)

+ The Sirens (T Kirmse, E Bevington-Seawright, J Piantedosi, C Aliman, B Milder):

Baptism: ceremonial washing or immersion into water to symbolize purification or regeneration // Siren: devious winged creatures portrayed as femmes fatales who lured sailors with their enchanting voices to shipwreck // Aurelia audita (Moon Jelly): a brainless, heartless, invertebrate known for its translucent, moon-like bell. It can be recognized by its four horseshoe-shaped gonads and fine fringe. Uniquely designed to cope with environmental threats, they are now overcrowding the seas.

9:30-10:30pm // Fort Point Channel (Near Post Office, Summer St Bridge) // T

Tin Can Confessions  // Jamie Horgan and Lucas Horgan: Jamie and Lucas will stretch home made telephones across the Fort Point Channel to communicate with participants from a great distance.  All will be invited to share confessions or phone secrets and receive special messages in return.

12-3:30am // Publick Theatre & Christian Herter Park, Lower Allston // Channeling

12am // Organ Buffet // Tom Maio and Cassie Pinner: Cassie will interpret and perform her poem, Organ Buffet, alongside performance artist Tom, expanding upon the poem’s premise of the heaviness of intimacy between two human beings.

12:45am // Not I // Allison Vanouse: Allison will perform Samuel Beckett. She states, “This play is a precipice. I am trying to leap from it.”

1am // Open Mic & Streaming // MC Magzilla and sound by Bathaus: YOU ARE CALLED! to the stand to share whatever you’d like by way of FREE SPEECH AND ASSOCIATION while under the spell of Bathaus electronics. Rant and rave! Recite your favorite poem, read from a book you’ve been devouring, move! howl! yelp! or be silent. Video Channeling will occur alongside these performances. Pieces include: ROARS // Hermione Spriggs: A mimetic exchange with youtube lions, NO Opera // Caitlin Berrigan, and Whistling Piece 01 // Hermione Spriggs and Mathew Whittington, and more!

1:30am // Free Dance & Chills // BATHAUS, Magzilla, Maria Molteni

2:30am // Ritual in the a.m. // B B Gun / Kit Lace: Your personal transcendence is attainable.  Blow your soul and consume your mind.  Commit.

5:30-7am // Brookfarm Institute of Agriculture and Education // West Roxbury

5:40 // Boston Sunrise, August 5th // Brianne Milder: The August 5th sunrise exposed in the mouth of Brianne Milder.

6:00 am Brookfarm, 170 Years // Forest Purnell: What if a socialist utopian commune started on Boston’s outskirts in the 1840s was still in existence today? Come to this fictitious meeting where we will plan a 170th anniversary celebration over breakfast. I will act as the meeting organizer, handing out agendas at the beginning to the audience, who will be invited to participate as fellow Brook Farmers planning for the 170th annual celebration. I will screen a work-in-progress documentary and give a brief powerpoint presentation. We may also have a Skype meeting with the Brook Farm Institute of Art and Design (BFIAD) Board of Trustees.  Breakfast will also be provided.

White Walls #1- June 30th 2012
Phototrop- by Jesse Kaminsky and Vela Phelan
Phototrop will be an experiment in the volumetric aspects of light. Using simple, familiar materials, Jesse Kaminsky and Vela Phelan will create a spatialized projection screen made up of thousands of clear, blue strings into which a rear projection video can be displayed. By using this unconventional screen-object, each viewer will have a unique experience of dimensional perspective and will be engaged as performer both for themselves as they explore a personalized space-within-a-space, and for others, as their actions give clues about how to experience the work.
Check back, June 29th for truck locations and times to view Phototrop.
